*Joshua 1:9*

"...Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Youth Conference 2010 was an InCrEdIbLe experience for Calli and I. I'm so glad we had the chance to go! So here's the agenda...

Thursday consisted of..

-Getting to Big Bear in the coolest car I've ever seen in my entire life (it's a LaDyBuG!),
-Reuniting with friends I haven't seen for two weeks when school got out,

-Snagging some free postcards,

-Visiting the lake,

-Sitting and listening,

-LOTS AND LOTS of dancing,

-a few games,

-and a couple hours of sleeping!

Over Friday, we...
-attended three workshops mostly about...,

-ran our version of The Amazing Race,

There were 14 "pit stops" total. Some of them were building an LA temple replica, canoeing across the lake, eating a cricket (yes, you read that right and in my opinion they tasted pretty good), eating a Twinkie with no hands (which made me want to puke), memorizing and performing a hymn as a group, and knowing all 25 scripture masteries!

THIS, I am proud to say, is NOT our replica. I took this off Facebook. Ours had a pretty legit Moroni on top, which I am proud to take credit for!:)

-and performed our well-prepared lip sync (I'll Make a Man Out of You),

The last day, Saturday, was filled with...
-more workshops from Brother Rast and President Carlson,

-a beautiful song from Riley,

-a ride home in the, once again, coolest car I've ever seen in my entire life (with some sleeping),

-dinner, courtesy of the In-N-Out Truck,

-a testimony meeting, and a whole lot more dancing!

Youth Conference this year has been one to remember! I am so glad I had the chance to go camping to feel the Spirit and gain a greater testimony of the Gospel. And, how lucky am I to have one of the BeSt Young Women's Presidents ever!?!? I am so happy that my last year in yw will be spent with someone I look up to so much! Kerrie is a great example and ALL of the young women love her!

A Little late...

I know this is a little late, but these are just too important to pass up!

*November 22: Happy Birthday, Mom!

*November 23-25: Disneyland!
No matter what it took, Scott was GOING to get on Star Tours! We eve stuffed cell phones in his shoes. Unfortunately, he was WaY too uncomfortable and wanted them OUT! However, to test our luck, we measured him. It did not surprise us that he wasn't tall enough, but he did surprise us with his witty expertise. As he walked up to the height requirement bar, he put his hands over his head, grabbed onto the bar, pulled himself upso that he was hanging from the bar and that his head what touching it, and informed us that he was tall enough. I agree, I thought the rule was that your head just had to touch the bar; the requirement. What mean Disneyland workers!:)

So, this trip, we discovered the art of pin trading. Anytime we saw a worker with a lanyard and pins, Abby and Zoe were quick to trade! Of course, the greenish-bluish lanyards are the best since they have all the kid pins!

*November 26: Happy Thanksgiving!

*November 27: R.I.P. Charlie the Hampster:(
