Stadium of Fire!

So, we left the cabin in Idaho early so that we could make the Fourth of July in Provo and go to the Stadium of Fire! The main reason we were there was for Miley Cyrus, although the Blue Man Group was there too! The pictures are a little hard to tell what's going on so you have to look kinda close. Figuring that David Archuleta would perform there, I wore my David A. shirt. I forgot that he was on tour with American Idol in Arizona though so I didn't get to see him there. At the beginning, there was a group of1300 of the nations best young dancers that did a routine that I recorded a little bit of. They were so synchronized and did something throughout the whole dance that represented each sport in the coming olympics. When I can get the videos to work...I'll post them!=)

All these people are friends and family of soldiers that came and sat on the turf. There was a lot more than this. They're still filing in!

These are the next couple days we spent in Provo...Webkinz is definitely popular!

...and so is the Twilight Series!

...and DSes!

Our Week in Idaho!!!!!

Our big vacation this summer was going up to Ashton, Idaho to go to our new cousin's baby blessing! London is so cute and we are so glad we got to be there for her blessing!

When we first go to their house, the only thing we wanted to do was drive and ride in the tractor! That was one of the highlights since its something we NEVER get to do!

The Marsdens have 5 kitties we played with all week that are so cute! Right after the dinner at Annie and Jordan's house, we all headed over to the big family reunion cabin we rented where we spent the rest of the week. Gabrielle, Olivia, and Sophie's birthdays were all the week we were there so we had three fun birthday parties! Olivia and Sophie's combined birthday present was a Wii and Guitar Hero so we played that all week too!

Webkinz!

The Ashton City Drug Store has really really good milkshakes so we went and got some really yummy flavors and then right after, Annie took us all over to Big Judds...home of the famous 1 POUND BURGER! The Clarks all shared one and Stan ate one all by himself!

Allie the Allllli-gator!

Something fun we always do in Ashton is go feed the fish. They are all over the place! When you throw one piece of food, you see them all swarm around it and even fight over it sometimes! After that we went and saw the Upper Mesa Falls waterfall which was so pretty! Its part of the Snake River that we went rafting down one of the days we were there! It was so much fun...until the rain and lightening came!!! And then it got really COLD! But that was still something we could do again! There are some scary parts and its cold at first...but well worth it! We saw a ton of real animal skins that we loved to feel since they are so soft!

Abby found one of her new hobbies and talents when we went fishing! She absolutely loved it and is really good! She can cast a line perfectly! There was one night we had a fun campfire in the cabin's "backyard" (aka..the woods) where we made the smores. There were so many misquitoes, I think we probably went through 30 bottles of bug spray throughout the week! When we were away from the bugs inside the cabin, we liked to just hang out and the little girls and Zoe did a good job at entertaining everyone else. They liked to do dances and play "Guess Who" games.

On Wednesday night, all the adults went and did sealings in the Rexburg temple. I stayed outside the temple to babysit Kannon and London. They both did so good! Calli stayed at the Marsden's house to help babysit all the kids at home along with two other babysitters from Annie's ward. Dad got a taste of farming when Jordan taught all the guys how to move pipe. You literally have to pick up a long pipe and move a certain number of yards forward and then walk down to the next one and get that pipe. It takes about 2 hours and Jordan goes out and does it twice a day. That was hard work! The mountains in the backround are the Grand Tetons. They are so pretty and that picture is exactly what you see looking out their window! It is such a great view!

Another one of our Idaho traditions is going to Squirrel Creek and racing boats that all the cousins make and decorate! We start on one side of the bridge and go to the other side. We do heats by age and then a "Winners Circle" race! There was also fishing opportunity there too, so anywhere we went where there were fish, we fished. We roasted hot dogs over another fire for lunch at the creek and played around the little meadow there while some of us practiced shooting.
I love Bella in the backround of this one!

Letting the boats of a heat go. And the race begins!

That night, it was Grandma and Grandpa's 40th anniversary, so when they walked in the cabin everyone sang them songs and we walked them outside to their "anniversary dinner and dessert" which was Coconut Creme Pie!=)HAPPY 40th ANNIVERSARY GRANDMA AND GRANDPA! Overall, this vacation was some of the most fun we've ever had and we are so glad we go to go visit the Marsdens! Thanks Annie and Jordan!
