Share A Little Brightness...

WOW! I am really bad at this! But I promise I'm going to try and keep this up now that I'm finally getting back into a schedule. So lately...Every year, our Grandma and Grandpa in Utah host an annual COUSINS CAMP! Every cousin 8 and older gets to come! Dave took this AWESOME picture for us!

This year started out as Calli, Abby, Zoe and I flew into Vegas on Monday and were suprised when Grandma brought the Neymans to come pick us up! Us girls spent the day at the M&M factory and eating lunch at SERENDIPITY (for Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate and my "2-foot" hot dog)!!!! We were also verrrrry lucky to pass a kiosk where Grandma bought us all (granddaughters) our Christmas presents! This kiosk had the some of the prettiest dresses I think I've ever seen! They're reversable and can be worn 100 different ways as a dress, shirt, skirt, or swimsuit coverup. Not one is made alike, so everyone got their very own dress! Thanks Grandma!

Tuesday was a day of swimming and singing (and dancing!). We all went to swim at Entrada (also known as Lava Springs from High School Musical 2) which made Zoe most excited! Her life is now complete:) Later that day we all took off for Tuachan, an outside theatre, to see the play Footloose. I have to say it was AMAZING and I think the best I've seen yet! What made all the more better was the fact that Thayne Jasperson was Ren McCormick! For those of you completely out of the loop, Thayne was on So You Think You Can Dance and in my opinion, should've won! He was so good! Christina, Jessica, and I left the play a few minutes early just so we'd be first in line to meet him when the actors came out. It was worth it...we WERE! He was so nice and VERY glad to hear that I voted for him a million times...and he was HOTT! That was MY highlight of cousins camp!

THIS is Thayne Jasperson.

I think Abby like it too:)

Wednesday, we woke up and headed out to Brushfire (which is kind of like a Paint A Dream for us) for everyone to paint a memory of Cousins Camp. I, of course, chose Footloose, Calli painted a plate, Zoe painted a car for Scott (sssh!) and Abby...wait...I'll have to ask her. They all finished before I had a chance to take a picture of their creations. After Brushfire, we went to Judd's to get old-fashioned candy. I ALWAYSALWAYSALWAYS get Razzles! They're my favorite! We finished off the day with horseback riding and hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner.

On our last day, Thursday, we had a talent show and everyone had something GREAT! Calli sang a song she learned while playing on the piano (You're Not Sorry-Taylor Swift) and it was so pretty! She shocked everyone at how good she was! She's SO ready for Show Choir! Abby, Zoe, some cousins and I did a skit we do every year that always get some laughs! Make sure and pause the music at the bottom to hear the video!

Overall, Cousins Camp was an extremely fun week and we all enjoyed being together! I hope everyone's summer has been one to remember and nobody has too rough of a start to the new school year! Good Luck!

It's time to RELAY 2009!

Hey there....

The following is an invitation from a friend of mine who is heavily involved in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in SCV. I'm helping her with her "campsite" this year. She's anxious to get her "Team" running by having a Team Meeting this Monday evening. If you're interested in joining us, our family would LOVE to have you there! This meeting can be informational for those of you unfamiliar with the Relay (no, this is NOT a race!), or an opportunity for you to register as a member of her team. Our family loves participating in the Relay for Life as it is such a worthy cause, a great support for wonderful friends and a great, fun way to spend a day as a family doing something that truly makes a difference! Our kids, ALL 6 OF THEM, look forward the Relay every year. The day of the Relay is Saturday, May 30 at Central Park and you can participate as much or as little as your schedule allows. This family friendly meeting you're invited to is THIS Monday evening. You'll be surprised at how many familiar faces you'll see! Hopefully I've sparked your interest and we'll see you Monday evening! Feel free to call me if you have any questions! Also, please forward this on to anyone you think may be interested in joining us. The more friends the merrier! Kim Morris

P.S. Part of helping out with the Crookston's "campsite" is to collect items, either goods or services, to raffle off during the Relay. If you or anyone you know have any merchandise or services that you feel would be of interest to any of the 1000's of people who attend the Relay, please let me know ASAP. I would love to have a fun table full of appealing raffle items so that the Crookston family can make a generous donation to the American Cancer Society that day in honor of their son, Nathan. Thanks again!

Dear friends,

Our family won our battle against cancer, but we need to win the war and defeat all cancer. Thanks to everyone who has already helped and for those who are still able and willing to help in the fight against cancer. If you already told me that you couldn't help this year, please forgive me for sending this on. I really don't want to bug anyone, and you may hit delete now. For everyone else, please come enjoy a fun outing in the park and learn how you can help fight the cancer monster. Even if you can't help the day of the Relay for Life, but you would like to help some way, we need help prior to the event.

Also we have some fun news. Kirby Heyborne will be preforming on the Relay for Life stage. The entertainment chair heard Kirby's music and she is a new fan. You can come and see why if you come to Relay. Anyway, thanks again for any help. I really appreciate it.

Kymmer

The Last Game Has Been Played!

So, I finally finished my Hart Soccer season. We just had our banquet last night where they gave out the awards and so graciously gave us all the emarassing pictures they took of us during the season AFTER they showed the EVERYBODY involved with soccer in a slideshow. How nice of them! Here's a few I'll post.

Why is it so hard for us to blog!?

I love reading everyone's blogs! It's so fun to see pix of your family and keep up with your lives. Why then, is it so dang hard to keep up on our blog? I have great intentions! I should be able to find some time! I think I'm afraid of my computer! I hate taking the time to learn new things on it and to tell you the truth, I don't even know how to download pix from my camera on my new computer! I wish this was second nature for me like it is for so many of you. Why also do we all have so many places to post? Facebook, myfamily.com, blogspots....what comes first?

The only reason I have this image is because Megan tagged Kacy with it on facebook! Our Road Show was awesome! Thanks Brother Heyborne & Brother Hopkin! Can someone tag Calli in a pix please so I can post her too!
