San Jose

From Wednesday to Sunday for Spring Break, we decided to make a trip up to San Jose and just play tourist since we go there all the time and have never done any of the cool stuff there. We started out on Wednesday just getting there when just after Kacy left to go to the Coopers' ward's mutual. They went to Sky City Bounce House which is just like our Scooter's Jungle except its ALL trampolines. (It was a lot of fun, but Scooter's Jungle is much better!=)) Thursday was so much fun!!! After Emily and Dylan showed up, we left in the morning for Santa Cruz to walk the pier and go to the beach. While we were eating lunch on the pier, all the little girls discovered A WHOLE BUNCH OF SLEEPING SEALS in the water! So we took lots of pictures of the seals. Some were jumping and eating but most were sleeping. Down at the beach, Kris and Andrea met up with us after their drive to San Jose. The kids all had so much fun and Kris and Drew dug a giant tunnels the girls, Scott and Dylan all climbed through! THE WATER WAS COLD!!! Zoe, of course, was the only one brave enough to wear her swimsuit and go swimming in it! What a weirdo! For dinner we went to Round Table and got really good pizza parlor pizza! YUMMY!

Believe it or not, most of us have never been to San Fransisco. I know! So that's what we did all day on Friday! We saw Alcatraz, took a cable car, walked the Golden Gate Bridge, which was very scary for some people, saw the crookedest street, and finally the Clarks, Tom, Henry, Drew, Kacy, Dad, and Calli all went to a Giants game in the new AT&T Stadium. It looks right over the ocean! It was soooo pretty!

Saturday was HOT, HOT, HOT! The first thing we did was go out to breakfast with Aunt Toni and Jamie. We took them out to Stacks-a really yummy pancake house! Toni and all of us went to the park and hung out for a couple of hours until it was time to go to Drew's baseball game. After that we headed over to the Oakland temple to attend Aaron and Lauren Green's sealing. What a pretty temple! While Mom and Dad were in the sealing, Kacy and Calli took everyone else into the Visitor's Center where we saw and listened to the Christus and watched a movie called "The Other Wise man." The temple has beautiful grounds and lots of water fountains and mini rivers running through the front of it. Something very surprising: There were at least two Keensineta (however you spell that) parties that were having their pictures taken in front and around the sites of the temple. Abby thought that two of the girls there looked like Cinderella and Belle so she got her picture taken with them.=) The kids had fun playing there when we were not in the Visitor's Center. Later that night, Kristy had a family dinner. It was really, really good!

Sunday we went to church in the Hillsdale ward with the Coopers where we met lots of familiar faces! Their stake has just combined some wards so it was a lot bigger than we remember it! Afterwards we went back to the Coopers where Kristy fed us some lunch and then we hit the road...

Looks like you had a great time. I'm glad you got to go. Wish I was there...I know, I know I was invited. I stayed home and was lazy all week. I should have gone!
